Warranty Period

  1. Black & Walnut takes pride in the quality of our products and warrants them to be free of defective materials and workmanship.  Warranty periods commence from delivery date and vary by product as set out in the table below.

  2. This warranty covers in respect of manufacturing defects detected within the warranty period, the cost of material components, replacement parts, labour and transportation charges.  Items repaired or replaced under this Limited Warranty will be covered by the Limited Warranty for the remainder of the Original Warranty period only.

Limitations & Exclusions

  1. Damage caused by unreasonable or incorrect use, normal wear and tear, failure to provide proper care and maintenance or accidents; including but not limited to burns, cuts, scratches, tears, scruffs, watermarks, indentations, pet damage, chipping of paint or timber finishes and staining.

  2. Damages caused by using detergents, abrasives or other harsh cleaning agents. All treatments, cleaners or conditioners shall be tested on an inconspicuous spot on the furniture prior to usage in order to ensure that there are no adverse chemical reactions.

  3. Markings from stacking, moulding due to bad air ventilation and routine wear of parts such as feet, glides, castors, stoppers, and any other wearing parts.

  4. Product modifications not authorized by Black & Walnut.

  5. Product used out of scope of intended usage e.g. indoor furniture used for outdoors.

  6. Product assembled wrongly (if customer did not opt for Black & Walnut’s delivery/assembly service).

  7. Leather, marble and wood are products of nature. Each piece has unique markings and a character of its own due to variance in shade and grain patterns (texture). Natural markings such as scars, wrinkles, grain variation, color etc. will be considered normal characteristics and shall not construed as defects.

  8. Discounted products sold as display units on as-is basis at time of purchase.

In the event that a product is assessed to be defective due to any of the exclusions above, any such repair or replacement cost shall be borne by the customer.


Claim Procedure

  1. If you have a warranty claim, please contact us at customercare@blackandwalnut.com.sg with photos and a description of the issue.  Original proof of purchase will also need to be presented as part of warranty requirements. On certain occasions, we may need to send out our experienced technicians to assess the nature of the issue at a mutually convenient time.

  2. Black & Walnut reserves the right to determine whether a part has failed due to a defect or wear and tear. All warranty claims determined by Black & Walnut to be valid will be honoured. To honour a warranty claim, Black & Walnut will, at its sole discretion offer the following where applicable:
  • Repair or replace the defective part
  • 1-1 exchange
  • 1-1 replacement with an alternative item, should the item no longer be in production 

All claims made against Black & Walnut are strictly limited to the price of the Product(s) purchased. Black & Walnut shall not be liable for any injury, loss or damage howsoever caused.
